Target language: recognising and correcting mistakes linked to homophones
Description of activities: This is a bundle of three sets of worksheets with Student A and Student B versions. Students first work individually, then in pairs. In each case, they read 10 sentences. Half of them contain mistakes (incorrect use of a homophone). The other student has mistakes in the other half of the sentences. The students are asked to find and correct the mistakes in their set of sentences (individually), then compare their answers with their partner’s.
At the end of the activity, list these often confused homophones on the whiteboard.
