A quick game providing 20 minutes of fun in a Flyers lesson after teaching future forms (going to and the present continuous for the future).

PROCEDURE:
- Give each student a worksheet and ask them to identify what the small pictures represent (calendar, birthday cake, February/month, 9/birthday, children/friends, sports centre/gym, candle, presents/gifts).
- Students are asked to trace the text on the worksheet, so that they remember that the names of the months are written with a capital letter.
- Ask students to decide which sentences are in the present tense and which relate to the future (the ones starting with the picture of the boys).
- Ask students to fold the worksheet in half vertically, so they can see only the beginning of each line. In pairs or as a class, ask them to try to remember the second half of each phrase.
- Ask students to turn the folded sheet over, so they can now see the second half of the lines. Repeat the task, this time reconstructing the missing words, in pairs or as a class.
- Ask students to unfold the worksheet and turn it over. Then ask them to retell you the text without looking at it.
- Students are then asked to write the text from memory on the back of the paper, paying attention to two things: spelling and verb forms.
- Ask them to check their answers, first in pairs with each other, then against the original text.
- Ask for feedback and follow up.
